She was predeceased by: her parents, Basilio T. Herrera and Placita Castillo; and her siblings, Terri Wheat (Clyde) and Francisco. She is survived by: her brothers, Butch and Thomas Herrera; and her husband Peter D. Burns. She is also survived by Her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St, Bakersfield, CA 93306). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Malachy's Catholic Church (407 W E St, Tehachapi, CA 93561). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tehachapi Cemetery (920 Enterprise Way, Tehachapi, CA 93561).
