He was predeceased by: his wife Diamantina Salinas Villegas "Muneca"; his parents, Rafael Villegas Sr. and Felicitas Leanos Villegas; and his brothers, Mario Villegas and Joel Villegas.

He is survived by: his children, Johnny Villegas, Ivan Villegas and Diana Villegas Lopez (Tomas Lopez); his grandchildren, Jose Luis, Natalie, Nathaniel, Jaylene, Noel, Evie Lyn, Tristan and Jonathan; and his siblings, Jose Villegas, Maria Magdalena Puente, Maria Teresa Villegas, Juana Gonzalez, Jesus Villegas, Samuel Villegas and Isabel Villegas.
