He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Johnson and Doris Johnson (Hickman); and his parents-in-law, Marvin of Exira and Mardell Sorensen of Exira. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his daughter Jill Johnson; his grandson Sebastian Valenzuela; his son Ross Johnson Jr. (Mary); his grandchildren, Daniel, Raelynn, Broden and Barrett Johnson; his brother Randy Johnson; his stepchildren, Dan Durham and Becky Crean; his brother-in-law Craig Sorensen; his brother Chuck of Exira; and his sister-in-law Connie Sorensen of Exira. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Valley Baptist Church - Olive Drive (5500 Olive Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93308).
