“Bill raised chinchillas in his dorm room at Northridge Hall. He was unusual. I visited him when I went to Bakersfield to audit the welfare office. He took me to a Basque restaurant. This was my first time ever going to a Bass restaurant. I couldn't understand why they would have a restaurant just for certain type of fish until I found out it was a "Basque restaurant". I had a very nice time with him and at the restaurant. He owned a lot of property along with another person. So sad to hear.”
