We are sad to announce that, on January 13, 2026, at the age of 83, Margie Smith in Banning, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Margie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Margie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Goree Smith Sr. and Maxine Smith; and her great-niece Clarencia Clemons. She is survived by: her siblings, Waren Smith Sr. (Carline), Willie Smith Sr. (Louise), Goree Smith Jr., Lois Smith and Gwendolyn Ballard. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and great-nephews, seven great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
