He is survived by: his wife María Ángela Sánchez; and his children, Esther Sánchez, Virginia Bedoy, Rosa Zárate (Eddie), Andrés Sánchez (Eva), Pedro Sánchez (Febe), Ana Cervantes (Eliseo), Guadalupe Cervantes (Manuel), Manuel Sánchez (Maricela), Angélica Sánchez and María Elena Gámez (Valentín). He is also survived by his 33 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frye Chapel & Mortuary (633 N 7th St, Blythe, CA 92225). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (875 E Chanslor Way, Blythe, CA 92225). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Palo Verde Cemetery (343 10th Ave, Blythe, CA 92225).
