“"Life is Good and God is Good!" This was a text I saved from my dear friend Ken. Ken loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed roller skating, was bi-lingual fluent in Spanish, and wrote beautifully using calligraphy. He played classic piano and had his own baby grand. Ken had a collection of over 5,000 albums. He enjoyed all genres of music. He especially loved Musical Theater and engaging in post-show critiques. In addition to enjoying fine food and soul food, he shared a terrific sense of humor.”

“He enjoyed dressing as Santa to bless the children of friends for Christmas and was very generous in giving to worthy causes. He participated in marathons and in AIDS awareness walks in Rhode Island and California. He was known to say that Deacons Edna Wells, Gregoria Dias, and Veronica Mays were his "guardian angels" when they helped him through a health crisis. He loved to travel all over the world.”

“He loved to travel all over the world. In 2019 he visited Germany and Denmark for a couple of weeks, then took a 19 day transatlantic cruise from Copenhagen to New Orleans. He booked a 29 day transpacific cruise from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles and one trip was so great but twice that year as well as many other travels. In December 2024, Ken embarked on a 35 day cruise to ports in South America and Antarctica!”
