He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferris Bynum and Ellen Bynum; and his wife Melba. He is survived by: his siblings, Ellen Matthews, Johnny, Benny and Jerry; his son Shawn Bynum (Carrie); and his granddaughters, Jessica (Branden) and Jenna (Ryan). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
