We announce the death of Shirley Dixon West of Brea, California, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglass Dixon and Gwen Webster Dixon; her husband Wendell Schofield West; her siblings, Joan Brockbank (Grant), James and Sterling Dixon; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Tarbox (Russ) and Joseph West.
She is survived by: her sisters, Elizabeth Schroeder (Gary) and Leslie Crabtree (Lamont); her sisters-in-law, Aloha Dixon, Jan Dixon, Suzanne Stagg (Dick), Linda Poff and Kay West; her daughter Diane Kanady (Ed) of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Corinne (Matt), Ashford, Carly (Brendon), Kushnerick, Kennedy, Madison, Eric (Maddy) and Kanady; her son Michael West of California; her grandchildren, Jessica (Blake), Harpel, Peyton, McKenna, Avery, Finley, Brittney (Matt), Broadhead and Ian (Tayler); her son David West (Heather) of California; her grandchildren, Tyler Halen and Megan West; her daughter Karen Perren (Jerry) of Idaho; her grandchildren, Brent Perren, Nicholas (Camille) and Alyssa Perren; her children, Janice West of California and Steven West (Alison) of Utah; her grandchildren, Michaela Cheek (Simon), Andrea Perkins (Perry), Steen West and Elisa West; and her son Mark West of Connecticut. She is also survived by her seven children, 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
