With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Allen Whitney (Buellton, California), who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Valentine and Elizabeth Ann Whitney (Betty); his sister Teresa Dakota; and his grandson Joshua. He is survived by: his sister DeVonne Lee; his children, Damian Richard (Laura), Shawn Ryan (Amber), Travis Wayne (Michelle), Janet Marie, Sarretta Marie and Scott Andre; his wife Carla; his grandchildren, Joseph (Bry), Ashleigh, Taylor, Kyser, Jordan, Elijah, Nevaeh, Cash, Emiko, Addison, Cassidy, Reed and Mason; and his sister Leslie (Gary). He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Santa Ynez Valley SAlano Club, Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Riding Program or Santa Barbara Humane Center would be appreciated.
