He is survived by : his wife Ernine Larson (Henderson); his daughter Dina Zimmerman (Larson); his son-in-law Kevin Zimmerman of Simi Valley; his grandsons, Thomas and Justin Zimmerman; his aunt Erma Jean Brown (Sansgaard) of Missouri; his sister Carol Ann Shafer (Larson); his brother-in-law Roy Shafer of Iowa; his nephew Jeff Shafer of Iowa; his niece Lori Ann Prier (Shafer) of Iowa; his sister-in-law Janet Schray (Henderson) of North Hollywood; and his niece Laurie Herndon of Burbank. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Little Country Chapel (10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, USA). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (6020 Radford Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91606).
