We announce the death of Mona Easley Hotchkiss (Camarillo, California), who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bynum Easley and Beatrice Phelonease Hymel Easley; her sister Maxine Easley Richard; her brother-in-law Donald Louis Richard; her niece Gwendolyn Barras; Robert Hotchkiss.
She is survived by: her children, John David McClain of New Braunfels and Karen "KC" McClain Kelem (Martin Allen Kelem) of Newbury Park, California.; her son-in-law Martin Kelem; her grandchildren, Whitney A. Kelem, Zachary S. Kelem (Ashley), Sage N. McClain, Mackenzie A. Kelem and Reese A. Kelem; her great grandchildren, Wyatt S. Kelem and Ophelia S. Kelem; and her nieces and nephews, Bryan Richard, Chris Richard (Susan), Chad Richard, Marria Peterman (Brad), Regina Hale (Mark) and Tonia Price (Charlie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mary Health of the Sick, a place that held a special place in Mona's heart and lovingly cared for her in her final days, or to a charity supporting the elderly, foster children, or those experiencing homelessness.
