It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shawna Higgs Ashton (Cameron Park, California), who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Badger Higgs and Grace Brinkerhoff Higgs Dunford; and her son Alexander James Ashton. She is survived by: her husband David McKay Ashton; her children, David Calvin Ashton (Jenny) and Betsy Ashton Lutz (Tim); her brothers, Dr. Roger Higgs (Elaine) and Mark Higgs (Tami); her in-laws, Alan, Karen Ashton, Steven, Marilyn Ashton, Roger and Melanie Ashton; and her grandchildren, Thayne Ashton, Angela Ashton, Emma Ashton, Katie Lutz and Quinn Lutz. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel (3431 Hacienda Rd, Cameron Park, CA 95682).
