She is survived by : her brother Edward Burns (Nancy Curtin); her niece Michelle Gordon (Aaron); her nephew Brian Burns (Heather); her great-niece Elizabeth Gallagher-Burns (Evan); and her great-nephews, Owen Gordon, Colin Burns and Brayden Burns.

In remembrance of Barbara's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority, 3370 Thomas Road, Santa Clara, CA 95054.
