He is survived by: his wife Theresa Pilz; his sister Helgard Dosquet; his children, Karen Pilz, Erik Pilz (Elizabeth Gardner) and David Pilz (Denise); and his grandchildren, Kate, Chris and Loretta.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ulrich's memory to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
