It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonathan Ambrose MacDonald in Carlsbad, California, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Kathryn Mary MacDonald (McFadden) of Madison, WI and Michael MacDonald; and his siblings, Michelle Eigner (Troy Eigner) of Edina, MN and Kevin MacDonald (Amy Ostendorf MacDonald) of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (401 S Owen Dr, Madison, WI 53711). A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Jon's name to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School, Edgewood High School or Boston College.
