He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Robertson (Jack) and Mildred Robertson (Redman); his wife Meryl; his children, Keren Dawson-Bowman and Niel Robertson; his daughter-in-law Faith; his grandchildren, Naomi Gallagher, Jonathan, Rebekah Dawson-Bowman, Aspen and Bardot Robertson; and also David.

The Scottish born conductor, Stewart Robertson, died peacefully at home in Carmel Valley, California with his family on February 12 of complications from Parkinson's disease.
