We are sad to announce that on December 3, 2023, at the age of 81, James Thomas Baatz in Carmichael, California, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas A. Baatz and Julia Baatz (Magwar); and his significant other Gerlinde Maria Garrett. He is survived by : his stepdaughter Diana Gerlinde Rossmy (Rusty Dane); and his grandson Neil Alexander Pena. He is also survived by his family and friends.

“In loving memory of James Thomas Baatz, Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Worked with Jim at Campbell Soup in the late 90's , he was my Supervisor. Jim was very kind and supportive. Jim and I kept in touch and enjoyed his Letters and how he found his soulmate Gerlinde and new family. When I left Sacramento to move to Santa Cruz Jim was very supportive and helped me to obtain my job at the University of Ca, Santa Cruz. (just retired) Jim was an inspiration to All.”
