He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Held and Margaret Held; and his brother Matthew Held. He is survived by: his daughter Alexis Ortega; his significant other Marissa Ortega; his son-in-law Alex Trujillo; and his grandson Andrew Trujillo. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
