She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Kram; and her husband John F. Howard. She is survived by: her sister Betty Jones of Surprise, Arizona; her sons, Daniel of Pioneer and Gregory of Poway; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Troy and Ashley. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to the American Cancer Society in Dolores' memory.
