Dennis Paul Gadbois Obituary

Dennis Paul Gadbois, 72, born in Webster, Mass. and raised in Dudley, Mass, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 with his wife at his side.
He was proceeded in death by his Father, Leo Paul Gadbois, his Mother, Rose (Chmielewitz) Gadbois, life long residents of Webster/Dudley Mass. as well as many Aunts and Uncles.
He leaves behind his loving family, Shirley Allen-Gadbois, his wife and partner of 24 years, his Daughter, Jennifer Lynn Gadbois, his Cousin Ted Zawistowski, stepdaughters, Traci Charlton- Nelson, (Tom) Tawnya Charlton- Liebscher, (Don) and step-grandsons, John and James Nelson.
Growing up in Dudley, Dennis graduated from Bartlett High School in 1967. After a short stent in college he joined 'Ma Bell' and retired after 32 years.
Dennis was very active as a volunteer in Ladder 1, Dudley Fire Department as well as the Webster Elks. He held various positions as an Elk and spoke of a favorite time organizing Golf Tournaments and then cooking the steaks. The man could cook a perfect steak! He was sorry to hear about the Webster Elks closing its doors. He had enjoyed many a cold brew there with his Elk Brothern and considered it the end of an era when it closed.
After moving to the Palm Springs, California area in 1997, purchasing a home in Date Palm Country Club he became an active member of the Men's League on our home course. He also enjoyed many of the Coachella Valley golf courses with his wife, son-in-law, Don and many of the Gentlemen from Date Palm CC.
Anyone who knew Dennis, knew his love of story telling and his incredilbly swift and dry sense of humor..
He loved the Red Soxs, golf, fishing, golf destination vacations and Las Vegas!
He truly was a Helluva Guy and is gone entirely to soon.
I would also like to pay my respects to Dr. VaFai, Mission Hospice and with love and great gratitude to Trent and Mary Lou for everything you did for Dennis and me those last 60 days.
Hit em' long, hit em' straight Sweetheart and I'll catch you on the next Heavenly Tee.
