We bid farewell to David Duane Smith (Chico, California), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 30, 2025 at the age of 88. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Smith and Dora Dee Smith (Hensley); his significant other Mary Lou; his children, Joy and Greg; his sister Norma; and his nephew David.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Bill; and his grandsons, Matthew and Michael. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
