He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Jenkins and Godwin Jenkins; his brothers, Alton Jenkins and Joseph Jordan; his stepson Gregory Jones; and his children, Rhonda Murray, Frederick, Joel, Leighton and Kevin Jenkins.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Marian Walker (Paul) of Petersburg, VA, Edna Williams of Waldorf, MD and Crystal Briggs of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
