The passing of June LaVada Abercrombie of Chico, California, born in Kearney, Nebraska leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 17, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Pearson and Zoa Pearson Rush; her husband James Long; her siblings, Shirley Arnette Moline and Galen Pearson; and her daughter Carrie Abercrombie.
She is survived by: her children, Patty (David Leonard), Susan (Will Grigg), Mark (Karen Abercrombie) and Kim Abercrombie; and her grandchildren, Kristen Renfro, Elizabeth Ratliff, Katherine Christensen, Maranda Nash, Erin Miers, Hugh Leonard, James Grigg, Ashley Owens, Robert Grigg and Holly Sandison. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other close family members.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newton-Bracewell Funeral Home (5691 Almond St, Paradise, CA 95969). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (6404 Pentz Rd, Paradise, CA 95969).
