He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Meyer and Virginia Dee Root. He is survived by: his siblings, Mark Meyer of Stanwood, WA. and Donna Miller of Stanwood, WA.; and his godchildren, Marjorie Rose and Blaise Daniel.
One of his great joys was discovering that his adoptive father, Roy Martin, and his biological father, Herman Meyer, were distant cousins—eighth cousins—through a line confirmed by the Germanna Foundation in Virginia.
