He was predeceased by: his parent Maywood; and his sisters, Barbara Cutter of San Pedro and Arleen Anderson of Chico. He is survived by: his children, Julia Wasserman, Christine Denn and Mark Denn; and his wife Sandy. He is also survived by his three children and three stepchildren, as well as seven grandchildren.

He was a great supporter of conservation groups, such as the California Deer Association and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
