He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jean-Baptiste, Jeanette Goya, Monique Etchemendy, Marguerite Ferran and Isabel Tournemele.
He is survived by: his son Javier John (Anne); his wife Maria Iribarren (Marixu); his grandchildren, Christopher and Janine; his brothers, Benat Dutrey (Maggie) and Michel Dutrey (Maite); and his brothers-in-law, Basilio Iribarren (Asen), Ricard Ferran and Marcel Tournemele. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
