He is survived by: his daughter Susan Masson (Fatini); his son-in-law Richard Masson; his grandchildren, Stephen Masson, Genevieve Masson and Audrey Masson; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Manning, Martin Manning (Chris), Bridget Tackman (Randy), Moira Manning, Kathleen Passmore (Michael) and Molly Manning.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Philomena School in Peoria, Illinois — the institution where his remarkable journey began.
