He was predeceased by : his parents, George Garner and Ollie Garner (Nancy Garner); and his siblings, Elizabeth Sutton, Leola Mason, Ruth Smith and Herman Garner.

He is survived by : his daughters, Orlena Belser, Charlotte McDonell (Tim), Mary Fears (late Waymon), Liz Wiederhold (Dan) and Pam Loveall (Vince); and his grandchildren, Debbie Coelho (Tim), Chuck Woods (Jennifer), Joe Alford (Autumn), Josh Fears (Nichole), Jed Barnes, Robby Wiederhold (Shirley), Anne Holtzclaw, Ashley Miller (Aaron), Shane Hill (Tiffany) and Adam Fears.
