He was predeceased by : his parents, Grady Arlton and Maude Lounell "Nellie" Ross (McDonald); his wife Wilda Ross (Franklin); and his brothers, Arlton Donald Ross, Calvin Benjamin "Mickey" Ross and Robert Lee "Bobby" Ross.

He is survived by : his wife's children, Melinda, Wilma, Julia, Johnny and Grady; his children, Melinda Leathers (Clardy) of Merced, Wilma Hanson (Clardy) of Elk Grove, Julia Ford (Clardy) of Hilmar, Johnny Clardy of Pueblo West, CO, Grady Ross and Billy Ross of Chowchilla; his children-in-law, Grover Leathers, Jim Hanson and Casey Clardy; and also, Grady and Billy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchild.
