He was predeceased by : his parents, Emilia Jean Fears (Lopez) and Waymon Woodrow Fears; his son-in-law Wayne Holtzclaw; and his brothers, John and Riley Fears.

He is survived by : his wife's children, Joshua, Adam and Ann; his wife Mary Ann Fears; his children, Joshua Shane Fears (Nichole), Adam Lee Fears and Ann Marie Holtzclaw; and his granddaughters, Emilie, Madison and Roslyn.
