It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene L. Mitchell of Citrus Heights, California, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Lane and Ruth Lane (Johnson); her parents-in-law, Ernest and Sarah Mitchell; her siblings, Virgina Layng, Margaret Linton and Pete Lane; and her grandson Philip Andrew Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Mitchell; and her children, Betty Jo Gish (Don), Lloyd Mitchell (Helen), Shari Petersen (Dave), Shirley Dahlberg (Dean) and Robin Weigel (Fred). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Nasinec Funeral Home (255 2nd Ave SW, Wells, MN 56097). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
