He is survived by: his wife Ida LaRue Bates; his children, Sandie (Steve), Westley (Barbara), Janna (Steven), Rob (Kathryn), Andrew (Shawna) and Francene; and his siblings, Ruby and George. He is also survived by 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
