He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemarie; his parents, Otto and Frieda; and his siblings, Gertrud, Ruth, Regina, Wolf Dieter and Otto.
He is survived by: his children, Peter (Pam), Daniel (Christie), David (Karen), Julie (Fernando) and Steven; and his sister Barbara (John). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
