“This is Nancy Wade. I just wanted to say, how much I loved Zarada and how impressed I was in how talented she was. The last family reunion we had in Evansville, in October of 2021 was the last time we were able to spend time with Zarada. Jerry and I took Zarada and Becky to the airport but their flight was canceled so they came home with us and spent the night until the next afternoon when they were able get their flight back home. I really enjoyed that evening just talking to them.”

“I was fortunate to meet Zarada one time when Wayne and I accompanied Jerry and Nancy for a visit to her home. It did not take long to discover her warmth. She was welcoming and entertaining. She made a quilt that depicted high heels that I remember to this day. She was lively, lovely, and talented but most importantly she was generous of spirit. I’m so sorry for your great loss. You were very fortunate to have her in your life.”

“Our dear mother, Zarada, passed away on Monday August 11, 2025 after a brief illness. She over 91 years. Our mother lived a fulfilled life with her husband Norm, three children, many grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Zarada had many friends who will miss her. She loved art: painting , viewing and studying. In her later life she joined a quilting group where she socialized with numerous women who became close friend & made many beautiful quilts.”
