It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle Wayne Charter (Colusa, California), born in Arbuckle, California, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Halbert D. Charter and Marie A. Charter (Kull); his brother Raymond Charter; his sister-in-law Mary Charter (Young); and his granddaughter Holly Moorhead.

He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Christine Charter Moorhead, Jeffrey Charter (Debbie), Erick Charter and Kate Smith (Cecil); and his sisters, Evelyn Jansen and Lorraine Davis. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Arbuckle Cemetery (400 Old Hwy 99 W, Arbuckle, CA 95912).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Arbuckle Fire Department, the Arbuckle Community Church, or the charity of your choice.
