He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen Joann Mero (McMains); and his aunt Eilene High. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Mero; his daughters, Shea Stimac (Dennis) and Lindsey Nettleton (Adam); and his stepson Paul Nierhake. He is also survived by six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
