He is survived by : his wife Stephanie Stanek; his father Roosevelt Salters; his children, Jason O'Brien Henson (Pawn Henson), Stephania Theresa Stanek (Alfredo Tolentino) and Dominic William Stanek; his siblings, Sherrie Lynn Clarke (Salters), Gerald Lamont Salters and Rodney Leroy Salters; and his grandchildren, Jazmyne Henson, Jason Henson Jr., Julian Henson and Easton Tolentino Stanek.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Bay Church (4725 Evora Rd, Concord, CA 94520).
