She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloria Audrey and Joseph Clyde Melancon; and her husband Steve Harold Whitehead. She is survived by: her son Daniel Joseph Whitehead (Pia); her grandchildren, Nyx and Cassian; her brother Joseph C. Melancon Jr. (Cathy); and her nieces, Joneau and Audrey Nerissa. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews, and friends.
