He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Berntsen, Eileen Mantel and Donald Berntsen; his sister-in-law Patricia Berntsen; his nieces and nephews, Allison Francis and Eric Berntsen; his great-niece Olivia Franics; and his great-nephew Nicholas Francis.
