Sung Wol Slater Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 22, 2025, Sung Wol Slater of Dana Point, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Sung's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Sung's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gene; and her daughter Grace. She is survived by: her son Charles Cho Slater; her daughter-in-law Tracey Slater; her grandchildren, Lauren "Ren" Navarette (Garrett), Marisa "Risa" Sung Slater and Christopher Charles Dickinson; and her great grandchild Eden Ray Navarette.

Her legacy of generosity continues through the Sung Wol Slater Scholarship Foundation, which will provide annual scholarships to students pursuing higher education.
