As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Ness Hayes and Norval Hayes; and his son Richard Benjamin (Hope). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Julie, Jeanine and Jason (Carol); and his grandchildren, Jason Overstreet (Erin) and Lisa Overstreet. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to YOLO Cares whose hospice workers gave great support and comfort to both Richard and Kathy, or to the Alzheimer's association.
