“I first met Sarah in 1969 when we were both in a film course at UH. I was delighted to discover that she was on the faculty at Farrington when I received a teaching assignment to that school. We immediately became friends and collaborated on adding a film component to the English curriculum. After I moved to Massachusetts we managed to continue our friendship, and met in CA, MA, RI and, especially, HI over the years. Sarah was smart, tough-minded, curious, and kind. I will miss her greatly.”
