He was predeceased by: his parents, Teofila De Leon Villarreal and Juan Villarreal; and his wife Dolores Pruneda Villarreal. He is survived by: his children, Juan Villarreal, Dolores Ortega, Delia Felix, Diana Gonzalez, Gustavo Villarreal, Jr., Delma Villarreal, Rosendo Villarreal and Teofila Villarreal. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
