Though Maria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hermelinda Castañeda and Rafael Alvarez. She was also cherished by her four daughters, three sons, 31 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, along with her sister, cherished nephews and nieces.
