She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Sewell and Mavis Inez Sewell; her husband Billy Herd; and her siblings, Pollie Kile, Linda "Billie" Small and Leon Sewell.
She is survived by: her children, David (Kathleen Herd), Kathryn (Sam Huerta) and Sandra (Raul Hernandez); her grandchildren, Samuel Huerta, Jr., Chris Huerta, Celeste Mora, Gary Smith, Leslie Smith and Cheyenne McGee; her siblings, Mavis Inez Sewell, Barry Sewell and Harriet Milner; and her sister-in-law Christine Lawson. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
