He is survived by: his wife Mary Chavez; his children, Ruben Chavez (Sheila), Michael Chavez, Linda Barkley (Leroy), Sandra Chavarria and Elizabeth Guerra; and his sister Lucila Garcia. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
