In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joetta leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Joetta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Burrell, Sr.; and her son James Burrell, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Burrell (Terence Parker) of Oakland, CA and Marc Burrell (Kristin Burrell) of Suisun City, CA.; and her grandchildren, Evan, Hunter, Thelonious and Aaliyah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Stephen Cme Church (2301 Union Ave, Fairfield, CA 94533). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen CME Church or the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano .
