He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillie Mae Powers (Cole) and Tarson Powers; his siblings, Curtis, David Powers, Christine Powers and Marion Davis; his wife Julie Powers; his children, Keira, Sheyenne, Shontae, Kim Powers and Sean Powers (Amy); his siblings, Carolyn Powers, Octavia Bledsoe, Jean Mayfield, Alice Carter, Chester Powers, Calvin Powers and Marvin Powers; and his grandson Ayden Justice Powers. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
