We announce the death of Behnam Eshaq Abdullah of El Cajon, California, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 79. Behnam will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Behnam is survived by: spouse Layla Ayob; children, Firas Abdullah, Fairous Behnam, Enas Behnam, Intisar Abdullah, Amal Behnam, Dalal Abdullah, Abdullah Hanna and Awns Abdullah; and siblings, Jaleel Eshaq, Younan Eshaq, Maeda Eshaq, Mohanad Eshaq, Hanna Eshaq, Nadea Eshaq, Suad Eshaq and Ragheed Eshaq. Behnam is also survived by 25 Grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Syriac Orthodox Church (8824 Cottonwood Ave, Santee, CA 92071). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102).
